Tell the World

I am thinking about that line from the first paragraph of the Declaration of Independence – the words they made me write at the American Embassy last year to prove that I am really Rose: A decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Declare the causes. That is another way of saying, TELL THE WORLD.

 

It is vital to understand history to avoid repeating history, and this is one of the reasons I believe Rose Under Fire is such a necessary read. I love all EWein’s books, but I strongly believe this is her finest work and her most important one, and EVERYONE SHOULD READ IT.

And don’t just stop with reading it. Tell the world what happened. Don’t let it happen again.
